Kasabian stream new single 'Eez-eh' - listen Kasabian Tickets

The track comes from the band's fifth album '48:13'

Kasabian are streaming their new single, 'Eez-eh'.

Click above to listen to the track, which features on the band's fifth album '48:13', which is due for release on June 9 – and is named for its running time, which is a total of 48 minutes and 13 seconds. 'Eez-eh', will be released on June 2.

The band debuted the track - which features the lyric "Every day is brutal/Now we're being watched by Google" - on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show earlier this evening. "This is a special year... the time is right, things keep on falling into place," said Tom Meighan of the band to Lowe, with Serge Pizzorno adding: "It's just a whole lot of fun."

The artwork for the album is the same as the mural the band painted on a shop on Kingsland Road in London's Dalston earlier this month. Guitarist Sergio Pizzorno, who wrote and produced the album, said in a statement: "I felt that we had the confidence to be more direct, more honest with this album. I started to strip away layers rather than to just keep adding."

Frontman Tom Meighan added: "Less is more, you know? It's direct. It is what it is. Just listen to it. We've had the confidence to lay ourselves bare. Serge has stripped it right back. It's unbelievable."

Kasabian will headline this year's Glastonbury Festival alongside Arcade Fire and an unnamed third headliner. Watch an exclusive video of the band talking about the gig below. Earlier today (April 28), it was announced that the band will also headline the In New Music We Trust stage at BBC Radio 1's One Big Weekend in Glasgow Green.

The '48:13' tracklisting is as follows:

'(Shiva)'
'Bumblebeee'
'Stevie'
'(Mortis)'
'Doomsday'
'Treat'
'Glass'
'Explodes'
'(Levitation)'
'Clouds'
'Eez-eh'
