Kasabian will embark on a short tour of Scottish venues prior to their appearance at Radio 1's One Big Weekend in Glasgow next month.

As reported, Kasabian will headline the In New Music We Trust stage at Radio 1's One Big Weekend on May 25. The event takes place between May 24-25 on Glasgow Green. In the run up to the festival Kasabian will play gigs in Dundee, Dunfermline and Kilmarnock. See below for ticket details.

Starting in Kilmarnock on May 20, Kasabian will then play the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline on May 22 before ending the series of gigs on May 23 at Dundee's Caird Hall.

Meanwhile, earlier this week Kasabian announced details of their new album '48:13'. The band's fifth album – due for release on June 9 – is named for its running time, which is a total of 48 minutes and 13 seconds. The first single from the album, 'Eez-eh', will be released on June 2.

The artwork for the album is the same as the mural the band painted on a shop on Kingsland Road in London's Dalston earlier this month.

Kasabian will play:

Kilmarnock Grand Hall (May 20)
Dunfermline Alhambra Theatre (22)
Dundee Caird Hall (23)
