Rihanna and Kate Nash cling on at top of UK singles chart

Plus Chemical Brothers top the album chart this evening

Rihanna and Kate Nash have hung on at the top of the UK singles chart tonight (July 8).

The pair remain at One and Two respectively, while Avril Lavigne joins the at Number Three with ’When You're Gone’.

This week’s top ten singles are:

1. Rihanna ft Jay-Z – ‘Umbrella’
2. Kate Nash – ‘Foundations’
3. Avril Lavigne – ‘When You're Gone’
4. Enrique Iglesias – ‘Do You Know’
5. Hoosiers – ‘Worried About Ray’
6. Timbaland Ft Doe/Keri Hilson – ‘The Way I Are’
7. Natasha Bedingfield – ‘Soulmate’
8. Fergie – ‘Big Girls Don't Cry’
9. Lee Mead – ‘Any Dream Will Do’
10. Kelly Rowland Ft Eve – ‘Like This’


In the albums chart, The Chemical Brothers go straight in at Number One with ’We Are The Night’ - their fifth on the trot - while Crowded House are new at Number Three with ’Time On Earth’. Velvet Revolver’s ’Libertad’ enters the chart at Number Six.
