Kate Nash 'working on 16 new songs'

She says the follow up to 'Made Of Bricks' is well underway

Kate Nash has recorded "14 to 16" demos of songs for her forthcoming second album.

The 'Foundations' singer says the new material is different sounding to her debut, 2007's 'Made Of Bricks'.

"I've got about 14 to 16 songs recorded and I'm going to do another session at the end of the month," she explained to BBC Newsbeat.

"It's really cool. I've been doing a lot of writing and I'm excited about getting stuck into new material.

"It's different and it's fun to be doing something new."

Nash previewed two new songs - 'I Hate Seagulls' and 'Froggy' - at her Matter gig in London last October.

I don't get the abuse....You just can't help yourself can you. I like Kate Nash, i think it's refreshing to see a singer songwriter like her when the charts are full of inane rubbish. Looking forward to album no. 2 miss nash

that style of so called singing she has is so annoying. Is that even her actual accent or just an affected voice she puts on.
