Kate Nash has announced plans for an eight date tour of the UK and Ireland set to take place this October.

The tour will start at Norwich Waterfront on October 10 before visiting Birmingham, London's Shepherd's Bush Empire, Cardiff, Dublin, Belfast and Glasgow, before finishing up in Manchester on October 19. She will also be playing Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds Festivals this summer.

Kate Nash's next single is 'OHMYGOD!' Scroll down to watch the video for the track, which is taken from her most recent album, 'Girl Talk', which was released in March and followed 2010's 'My Best Friend Is You' and 2007's 'Made Of Bricks'.

Kate Nash recently said she would be a "fucked-up person" if she didn't write songs. Speaking to the Independent, Nash said that if it wasn't for her singing career she would be a "very negative person". She said: "I sing because I have to get things out. I need to puke them up, to purge. If I didn't, all my anger would go into very negative areas. If I didn't write songs, I'd be a very fucked-up person, no question."

Kate Nash plays:

Norwich Waterfront (October 10)
Birmingham Institute (11)
London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire (12)
Cardiff The Globe (14)
Dublin Whelan’s (15)
Belfast Stiff Kitten (16)
Glasgow SWG3 Studio Warehouse (18)
Manchester Academy 2 (19)
