Katy Perry played an early evening slot at the T In The Park festival today (July 11), during which she turned down various proposals of marriage from amorous fans.

Many male fans held signs declaring their love for the singer, with Perry addressing them halfway through her set on the NME/Radio 1 Stage.

One male fan was brandishing a huge sign with his mobile number adorned on it and the message, "Katy Perry, call me".

Much to his delight Perry, wearing a tartan dress, was in the mood to discuss romance. "Anyone find a boyfriend at T In The Park?" she asked the crowd before playing 'If You Can't Afford Me', then advised fans to "be safe" and "don't do drugs".

She later said: "I've seen many marriage proposals. But sorry, the answer is no. I can't see your face, honey!"

Earlier, arriving on stage to the sound of The Beach Boys'California Girls', the singer launched into 'Fingerprints' before donning a guitar to play 'One Of The Boys'.

"They said it was gonna rain! I said, 'No fucking way!'," she declared before playing 'Hot 'N' Cold'. "I've brought the California sunshine with me. This one's for the weatherman for telling us a big fucking lie."

Perry then began hurling inflatable strawberries into the crowd. She later outlined her desire to see the Loch Ness Monster monster and gave her views on red-headed people. "My sister is struck with the red-head disease," she exclaimed. "We love her because we have to."

The singer later tackled Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now', before ending her set with her smash 2008 single 'I Kissed A Girl', before which she leapt towards the front row and singled out a girl, rubbing an inflatable cherry chapstick on her face.
