Keane give out free memory stick
Keane
It comes free with their new single
Keane are to give out a free memory stick with their new single ’Nothing In My Way’.
The gadget will allow fans to transfer the song – as well as other tracks, videos and screensavers – onto their computer and then their MP3 player.
Jon Turner the general manager of Keane’s record label Island explained the band were trying out the stick with a hope to develop it into a credible alternative to the CD by 2007.
“I do see it as a potential format for the future," he told The Guardian, "but I don’t think it’s going to run down the use of digital services. It’s an interesting experiment. I'm keen to see what people make of it.”
The memory stick will be made available exclusively in HMV shops from October 30 and will cost £3.99.
