Keane are currently recording their new album in Berlin with Madonna producer Stuart Price.

The trio, posting on their website, state that they are attempting to create “tasteless and uncool” music.

Keyboardist and songwriter Tim Rice-Oxley wrote: “The more tasteless and uncool we can make our music the better, and that only when you lose the fear of breaking the unwritten rules of musical etiquette can you make a really great album.”

The group are also taking some bizarre influences for their new songs, with Rice-Oxley also claiming: “One of the new songs sounds like ‘Magic Dance’ from the ‘Labyrinth’ soundtrack.”

The post also recounts the time the group were forced to stop playing by disturbed neighbours.

“Richard [Hughes, drummer] seemed deeply proud to have made enough noise to burst through the walls of a huge sound-proofed studio, especially since Rammstein were here not long ago and managed to provoke no such exploits.”

Yeh, that's about the level of reply I'd expect from the losers that allow, the shitefest that are the Artic Monkeys to pick up more awards from an album that was less than sub-par.Punkylass?Ya what-ya wish you were punk-punk died and you should have folllowed suit. So what it's not your taste in music, let them be, ya dont like it then don't listen, at least they're being brave, doing summit different. Awww it's a shame they've made millions from all this, so they don't have to listen to nonces like you two

Doin' something different? my 3 cats could play better than that load of tripe. The reason why the Arctics did win those awards? because they're a brilliant band with members who can play guitars, where's Keens guitars? How can you call yourself a band without guitars ffs? Yeah and Tom's soooo brave, rehab? The only reason he's in rehab is for eating too many pies, Rock n'Roll!
