Kelis has given birth to a baby boy, whom she has called Knight.
The child was born yesterday (July 21) in New York City.
Knight’s father Nas was reportedly not allowed to be present at the birth of his son, as he is currently embroiled in a bitter divorce with estranged wife Kelis.
"It was his intention to be there for the birth, but unfortunately he has not been allowed to be present," a source close to the rapper to allhiphop.com. “While this is clearly heartbreaking to him, Nas continues to offer his support and love to his new baby boy and his mother."
The pair were due in court yesterday for a divorce hearing, but it was postponed due to the birth of the baby.
The pair were married for almost five years until Kelis filed for divorce in April, citing irreconcilable differences.
