Kendrick Lamar has pulled out of his appearance on Later... with Jools Holland next week.

The rapper was due to appear on the show alongside guests including Noel Gallagher and Mumford & Sons on April 21. However, as confirmed to NME, his promotional trip to the UK has been postponed, meaning the Later... appearance has been cancelled.

The Later... performance would have been Lamar's first since releasing his Number One album 'To Pimp A Butterfly' earlier this year. Mumford & Sons and Noel Gallagher are still scheduled to appear on the episode, as will George Clinton and Mirel Wagner.

Blur were among the first guests on the new series of Later..., which began earlier this week. They performed two new songs on the show with fellow guests Laura Marling, The Vaccines and Natalie Prass also performing live.

As is now standard for Later, the series comprises of a half-hour live edition at 10pm on Tuesday evenings, entitled Later Live, with an extended hour-long edition on Friday evening.

Later...With Jools Holland began on BBC2 in 1992. Artists who appeared in Series 14 included Arcade Fire, U2, Kasabian, Alt-J, Coldplay, The Black Keys, Elbow and The War On Drugs.
