Kid Cudi collapses during performance at North Coast Festival
Kid Cudi collapsed during his performance at North Coast Festival last night (August 30).

The rapper was headlining the Chicago festival, with the likes of Future Islands, Little Dragon and Talib Kweli appearing earlier in the day. During 'Up Up And Away', taken from the Ohio musicians' 2009 debut album 'Man On The Moon: The End Of Day', Cudi (real name Scott Mescudi) jumped off stage and into the photo pit.

From there, Consequence Of Sound reports he ran up and down the front way, interacting with the crowd and stopping to sign a fan's album. Moments later, the rapper collapsed.

After the show, Cudi informed Twitter followers his losing consciousness was due to not having eaten before the performance, and thanked the festival's security for looking after him.

North Coast Festival continues today with performances from Snoop Dogg, Riff Raff, Wild Belle and Zeds Dead.
