Kid Rock arrested on battery charges
Rocker gets involved in waffle house scuffle
Kid Rock was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia yesterday (October 21) after allegedly taking part in a fight at a waffle house.
The chart-topping rocker was taken into custody after an altercation that occurred around 5:00 am.
Kid Rock and five friends had reportedly stopped at the Waffle House restaurant following his performance at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, and became involved in a fight after a male customer recognised a woman in Kid Rock's party and exchanged words with her.
"It escalated to a physical altercation between Kid Rock and that male customer and moved outside to the parking lot," said a spokeswoman for the DeKalb County Police Department.
Kid Rock left in his tour bus after the fight and was stopped by police about a mile from the restaurant, where he and his entourage were taken into custody and charged with simple battery, reports the Associated Press.
He was released from county jail on bond approximately 12 hours later.
