BB King
James Brown, Ike Turner have performed at Mississippi club
BB King has purchased a legendary blues club in his Mississippi hometown.
The renowned 82-year-old blues guitarist is the new owner of Club Ebony in Indianola, Mississippi, where King himself as well as Ray Charles, James Brown and Ike Turner have performed since the club opened its doors in 1945.
The club has been owned by Mary Shepard for the past 30 years, but she decided to sell the club to King so she could relax and spend time with her family, reports the Associated Press.
