'Sex On Fire' is now the most downloaded single ever in the UK

Kings Of Leon's hit 'Sex On Fire' has overtaken Leona Lewis' 'Bleeding Love' to become the biggest-selling digital download single ever in the UK.

The single, originally released in September last year, recently passed the 547,000 mark in terms of legal downloads, reports The Sun.

'The band had already bagged the top-selling digital album in the UK of all time, with their latest effort 'Only By The Night' boasting online sales past the 152,000 mark.' - its the kings worst album, yet it has still managed to be thier most successful? dont get me wrong, im a massive KOL fan and its good to see they are finally getting the recognition they deserve but i just cant understand why it wasnt any of their previous (and in my opionion superior) albums that made them huge sales figures. i just dont get it? must be generic music fans going out and buying the album on the strength of 'sex on fire'

I totally agree they have some classics but i feel this album is very weak and i think they can do better and i hope their next album will be a bit less pop e.g use somebody

I think we all agree that the latest effort by KOL is not the strongest album. It brings a tear to my eye almost to see them go mainstream, as I was a HUGE fan from the start. I was front row at the Newcastle City Hall gig several years ago when they were in my opinion at their finest live! I think the first album was the best, raw sexy and real... but you cant take the fame and $$$ away from them, as they have worked SOO hard for their success.! I just hope they can return to their roots musically wise in the future!
