Kings Of Leon singer Caleb Followill has hinted that he and the rest of the band may consider releasing their own individual material.

Speaking to The Belfast Telegraph, he revealed because of the band’s differing music tastes, they were often forced to discard some of the ideas they’d been working on or place them on “the back burner”.

However, he suggested that even if some of the ideas were unlikely to be used by Kings Of Leon, they could be released as solo projects.

“When you get in there [the studio] sometimes you just throw it all away and say ‘Alright, well let’s make this music together’,” he said. “And the things that you love that you’ve been working on, sometimes you have to put it on the back burner and you just know that one day it will be heard, but it might not be Kings Of Leon that’ll be putting it out.

“It might be some up-and-coming singer or it might be us individually doing a project. You never know.”

Meanwhile, his brother Nathan also promised that the band’s forthcoming documentary Talihina Sky: The Story Of Kings Of Leon would show them “probably acting the way that people would never want themselves to be seen”.

"It shows us fighting and the alcohol face and bloated and puking from too much partying and Jared with a girl 12 years older than him on tour,” he said. “It shows us being us, not at our best and not scared for people to see that."

The documentary will be given its official European premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 25 and will be screened in over 150 UK cinemas the same night. The band posted a new clip from the film earlier this week. Go to NME.COM/blogs to read NME’s review of the film.

Earlier this week, Kings Of Leon paid tribute to late Jackass star Ryan Dunn during their set on Wednesday (June 22) in London’s Hyde Park, with Caleb Followill asking fans to raise their glasses to "a friend of ours who's passed away".
