Kings Of Leon drummer Nath Followill has become a father for the first time after his wife gave birth to a daughter yesterday (Dec 27).

The drummer, who is married to singer Jesse Baylin, tweeted about the birth of daughter Violet, writing: "I can proudly announce the birth of my sweet angel Violet Marlowe Followill. My heart has been stolen and it feels so good." The news was then confirmed by a representative for Kings of Leon who revealed that Violet was born at 4:01pm and weighs 7lbs 13ounces.

Violet Marlowe is the third Kings of Leon child, joining frontman Caleb's daughter Dixie Pearl and guitarist Matthew Followill's son Knox Cameron.
