Kings Of Leon and Beyonce are the rumoured headliners for this summer's V Festival.

The Daily Star reports that Kings Of Leon are close to signing a deal with the festival, which takes place over the weekend of August 17-18.

The band – who are expected to release a new album this year - have already been confirmed to play Poland's Open'er Festival, Optimus Alive in Portugal and Rock Werchter in Belgium.

Kings Of Leon will also play shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham in June and July, staring at London's O2 Arena on June 12 and 13 before playing Manchester Arena on June 24 and 25, sparking rumours that they might play Glastonbury Festival around the same time. The tour then runs to Birmingham's LG Arena on July 9-10.

Meanwhile, Beyonce is also thought to be heading up V Festival, which takes place in both Chelmsford and Stafford.

Before V Festival takes place, Beyoncé will play a string of UK and Ireland tour dates, starting at Birmingham LG Arena on April 26, following it with four shows at London O2 Arena on April 29-30 and May 1-3 and then Dublin O2 on May 11-12.

Like Kings Of Leon, the one-time Destiny's Child singer is also set to release a new album this year.
