Kings Of Leon have announced that the first UK release on their label Serpents and Snakes will be the debut album from The Weeks.

The Mississippi band will release their first LP 'Dear Bo Jackson' on May 27. The album was produced by Paul Moak (Third Day, Seabird, House and Heroes) and will be preceded by the single 'Brother In The Night'.

Snakes and Serpents is a label fully run and funded by Kings Of Leon and based in Nashville, Tennessee. Other artists signed to the label include The Features, Turbo Fruits and Snowden. The Weeks are currently in Austin, Texas for SXSW where they will perform a number of gigs including a slot at the Serpents and Snakes showcase this Saturday, March 16. The event, AllSaints Basement Session Presents: The Serpents and Snakes Records Showcase takes place at The Blackheart in Austin, and features a number of acts from the Kings Of Leon label stable, and includes a performance by Toy.

Meanwhile, Kings of Leon are set to headline this summer's V festival. Taking place over the weekend of August 17-18 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, the two-day event will see the band take to the main stage along with Beyoncé – which will be her only European festival appearance this year.
