Kings Of Leon are battling Jessie J and Drake for the Number One in the Official Albums Chart this week with their sixth studio album 'Mechanical Bull'.

The US band are currently ahead of 'Nothing Was The Same' by Drake, who is at Number Two, and Jessie J's 'Alive', new at Number Three. Should they stay top until Sunday (September 29), it will be Kings of Leon's fourth UK chart-topping album of their career.

Elsewhere in the Official Album Chart, Arctic Monkeys remain at Number Four with 'AM' - the only non new entry in this week's chart. Jason Derulo rounds off the top five with his new album 'Tattoos', featuring the hit single 'Talk Dirty' featuring 2 Chainz. That song is set for a second week at Number One in the Official Single Chart. See below for the rest of the new entries in the single chart.

New entries in the Official Album Chart at today's (September 25) midweek stage come from Chvrches at Number Six with their debut 'Bones Of What You Believe' and teenage singer Birdy with her second album 'Fire Within'. Other new entries include Dream Theatre (9), Sting (11), Mazzy Star (17), New Model Army’s Between Dog And Wolf (19) and the 20th anniversary edition of Nirvana’s iconic In Utero (20), respectively.

Trailing Jason Derulo in the UK Singles Chart at the moment are new entries including Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke's 'Turn It Around' collaboration with Sub Focus (12), NME cover stars Haim (14) and Capital Cities (28).
