Kings Of Leon have unveiled an acoustic version of their track, 'Last Mile Home'.

The song, which features on the deluxe version of their latest album, 'Mechanical Bull', was written for the film August: Osage County, and an acoustic version of the song features on the film's soundtrack, which you can listen to via Rolling Stone. Click here to listen to the song.

Speaking about the family drama film, which features Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch and Juliette Lewis, Caleb Followill of the band commented: "It was a story we could all easily relate to. The dynamic between family is always something that you look forward to, and dread at the same time. Not only are we family, but we all have very strong Oklahoma ties, so we totally relate to that 'frontier grit.'"

He added of writing the song: "It was important for us to create a song to complement such a beautiful film. We submitted the song, then went out on the road, then had to find a few days to record between tours. It was a tight squeeze but we made it happen." August: Osage County is released in UK cinemas on January 17, 2014.

Kings Of Leon play a run of shows next summer in the UK, visiting Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester and Milton Keynes. The Tennessee rockers released their sixth album 'Mechanical Bull' on September 23 of this year. It became their fourth Number One album in the UK.

Kings Of Leon will play:

Newcastle St James' Park (May 31, 2014)
Sheffield Motorpoint Arena (June 17)
Manchester Phones 4U Arena (18)
Milton Keynes Bowl (22)
