Kings Of Leon rounded off the 13th Isle Of Wight festival last night (June 15) with a rollercoaster set in front of 50,000 fans.

Battling erratic sound throughout, Kings of Leon powered through a set they've been touring for the past year and which recently saw them play their first UK stadium show at St James' Park in Newcastle. Opening with uptempo favourites including 'Supersoaker', 'Taper Jean Girl', 'Fans' and a take on 'Family Tree' accompanied by neon Vegas visuals, the set gradually slowed to take in a slew of mid-paced tracks including 'On Call', 'The Immortals' and 'Closer', with guitarist Matthew Followill playing the opening riff with his teeth.

With Caleb Followill praising the crowd for their enthusiasm and wishing Isle of Wight a "happy Father's Day", the set accelerated again as 'The Bucket', 'Four Kicks' and 'Molly's Chambers' drove towards the grandiose main set closers 'Be Somebody' and 'Use Somebody', with several audience members being hoisted above the crowd naked since the band requested that more of their audience should disrobe following their embracing of a naked stage-diver at the Birmingham LG Arena last year. The band returned for an encore of 'Crawl', 'Black Thumbnail' and 'Sex On Fire'.

Kings Of Leon played:

'Supersoaker'
'Taper Jean Girl'
'Fans'
'Family Tree'
'Razz'
'Closer'
'On Call'
'The Immortals'
'Back Down South'
'Wait For Me'
'The Bucket'
'Temple'
'Pyro'
'Tonight'
'Radioactive'
'Don't Matter'
'Molly's Chambers'
'Four Kicks'
'Be Somebody'

'Crawl'
'Black Thumbnail'
'Sex On Fire'

Earlier, Suede had won over Kings Of Leon's crowd with a greatest hits set on the Main Stage which, besides airing atmospheric new track 'I Don’t Know How To Reach You' consisted almost entirely of singles. Brett Anderson urged the crowd to sing along to an acoustic 'She's In Fashion' and bounded and gyrated wildly through the likes of 'We Are The Pigs', 'Trash', 'The Beautiful Ones' and 'The Drowners'.

The Big Top was turned over to indie rock, with Swim Deep showcasing their airy shoe-pop and their cover of Cyndi Lauper’s 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' and Peace performing three new tracks from their forthcoming second album – 'Money', 'Lost On Me' and 'World Pleasure' – with singer Harry Koisser wearing a white leather jacket with the title 'Money' written on the back.

Peace played:

'Follow Baby'
'Money'
'Higher Than The Sun'
'California Daze'
'Lost On Me'
'Toxic'
'Waste Of Paint'
'Lovesick'
'Float Forever'
'Wraith'
'World Pleasure'
'Bloodshake'
