Paul Stanley will not leave band

Kiss legend Paul Stanley has quashed reports he is thinking about leaving the band.

There has been speculation recently about the future of the the group's vocalist and guitarist.

However Stanley has stated his intention to continue, declaring: "The band has never been better."

However, according to CMU, Stanley hinted that he was not entirely happy with a few of the band members around their last 'farewell' tour earlier this decade.

He said: "The fact is, we did do a farewell tour and by the end of the tour I realised that the only thing I wanted to say farewell to was a couple of members and the band should continue."

Stanley also bit back at critics who dislike the group, saying: "The only ones who question that are the ones who don't want us to continue, and they're so insignificant in numbers that they do not even warrant an answer."

Kiss headline the Download festival at Donington Park on June 13.
