Boys behind Klaxons compile free album for new issue
The label that helped launch the likes Klaxons and Wolfmother are responsible for bringing you CD free with this week's NME.
Modular Records have compiled the latest CD in Independent Thinking series, showcasing the best and most innovative labels around.
New Young Pony Club, whose 'Get Dancey' features exclusively on the compilation, said that it was the label’s philosophy that got them to sign with them.
“It was the party hard and make good music philosophy that first attracted us to the label,” explains New Young Pony Club guitarist Andy Spence
“They’d heard Cut Copy namedropping us in NME and they give their bands the attention they deserve. Plus they’re massive in Australia – like Domino in the UK, they rule the independent scene.”
The CD 'NME Presents: Independent Thinking' Modular Records is filled with 11 tracks from the likes of Wolfmother, Cut Copy, The Avalanches, The Presets and .
