Klaxons introduce new member

Drummer Steffan Halperin joins the band

The Klaxons
Klaxons have confirmed that drummer Steffan Halperin has permanently joined the band.

Halperin has been playing live with the band and appears on album ’Myths Of The Near Future’.

Simon Reynolds says of the new member joining: “We have to nurture him and slowly introduce him to the world, like we did with the band.”

Reynolds adds: “He’s the greatest drummer I’ve seen in my life.”

Reynolds says that in a previous life Halaperin was “Charlotte Church’s backing singer”, however, the group found him through a mutal friend from the band Twisted Charm.

He can be seen on the band’s Myspace and touring with the band on the Shockwaves NME Indie Rave Tour along with CSS, New Young Pony Club and The Sunshine Underground which begins at Dublin’s Ambassador tomorrow night (February 3).
