Klaxons' Jamie Reynolds has spoken about how they almost missed their slot at the Benicassim festival in Spain on Friday (July 20).
Speaking exclusively to NME.COM backstage at the festival, Reynolds explained how despite the fact they announced the gig was cancelled, the band somehow managed to make it at the 11th hour.
He said: “We left the house at 5.30, there was storm over Gatwick afterwards so they kept us on the runway for three or four hours. We missed our connecting flight and our luggage wasn’t ready for the other flight.
“Several phone calls later and someone came up with the bright idea of getting a taxi, so we arrived with about half-an-hour to go. We didn’t think it was going to happen and it did and it was really good, it was a lovely twist of fate.”
