Klaxons promise 'new rave' will live on at Reading And Leeds Festivals Klaxons Tickets
Jamie Reynolds promises to showcase 'Surfing The Void' at this weekend's event
The band, who top the bill on the NME/Radio 1 Stage today (August 28) in Leeds and tomorrow (29) in Reading, say they and the movement they created are ready to go.
"I wish for new rave to continue," the group's Jamie Reynolds told NME. To read the full interview with the singer and bassist, pick up this week's issue of NME (out nationwide now and also available digitally worldwide).
"I would never wish for its death, it will always be a huge part of our bands. In my heart it lives on," he added.
Despite the nostalgic feelings, Reynolds insists their shows will be about the future, with them promising to showcase new album 'Surfing The Void', which came out on Monday (August 23), live.
"I think the set's really strong," declared Reynolds. "We've set the balance [between old and new songs] pretty well. We're just raring to go."
NME is coming live from both sites at Reading And Leeds Festivals this weekend. Head to NME.COM/festivals for full coverage including news, reviews, videos and picture galleries.
