Klaxons at Reading Festival: 'We're taking our cat to the NME Awards!'

Band joke about their feline plan for the ceremony

Klaxons have joked that they're planning to take the cat who stars on their new album cover to next year's Shockwaves NME Awards.

James Righton and Simon Taylor-Davies were speaking in an NME video interview, which you can watch on the right now.

Taylor-Davies said that the cat, who belongs to bassist Jamie Reynolds and appears on the cover of 'Surfing The Void', should present a Best DVD category.

"If you're going to take a cat to an awards show, do you take the cat on a leash?" Righton joked. "Is it a bit weird putting a cat on a leash? You can't just let it roam around the NME Awards…"
