Klaxons have won the Best Album Artwork prize at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011.
The band’s cat-featuring cover art for their second album ‘Surfing The Void’ was voted the winner by NME.COM users.
The other nominated albums were Foals‘ ‘Total Life Forever’, Gorillaz‘ ‘Plastic Beach’, MGMT‘s ‘Congratulations’ and My Chemical Romance‘s ‘Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys’.
Last year Kasabian won the award for their ‘West Ryder Lunatic Pauper Asylum’ artwork.

The NME Awards Big Gig takes place on Friday (25). Godlike Genius Dave Grohl‘s band Foo Fighters headline, with Cee Lo Green, Band Of Horses and No Age also on the bill.
