Klaxons have cancelled their forthcoming North American tour – which was to have included an appearance at the Coachella festival.

The band had been set to kick off the tour in Orlando on Friday (March 25) and play 12 further headline shows before playing the California festival on April 15. But now they have canned the trip, citing "unforeseen circumstances".

As well as their Coachella slot they've pulled their gig at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, which had been set for Saturday.

Ticket refunds for the headline shows are available from original points of purchase. See Klaxons.net for more information.

The cancelled tour dates are:

Boston Paradise Rock Club (28)
New York Webster Hall (29)
Baltimore Ottobar (30)
Columbus The Basement (April 1)
Chicago Metro (2)
Madison High Noon Saloon (3)
Denver Larimer Lounge (5)
Salt Lake City Urban Lounge (6)
Vancouver Venue (8)
Seattle Chop Suey (9)
Portland Doug Fir Lounge (10)
