Klaxons have confirmed that they will enter the studio next week to begin work on their third studio album.

The London band, who have kept a low profile over the past 12 months, revealed today (January 23) that they are set to begin recording the follow-up to 'Surfing The Void' in a week's time.

Writing on their official Twitter account Twitter.com/Klaxons, the band wrote: "7 days and counting until we commence recording record 3."

Reports surrounding the album suggest that the band have been working with LCD Soundsystem mainman James Murphy and The Chemical Brothers. The album is expected to be released later this year.
