Klaxons performed two new songs during their headline set on the final night of Hong Kong's Clockenflap festival on Sunday night (December 2), at the Kowloon Waterfront Park. ??

To mark the band's first ever appearance in Hong Kong, they played new tracks 'Invisible Forces' and 'Rhythm of Life,' which they debuted previously at French festival We Love Green in September.

The dance-inspired tracks mark a reconnection with their acid rave roots, which the band sidestepped in their 2010 album rock-focused 'Surfing the Void'. 'Invisible Forces' is built around a four-chord dance pattern and features the chorus "nothing is between us/you make me feel real", while 'Rhythm Of Life' is a soaring dance tune where they sing "I saw creation come alive".?

Backstage after the show, the band told NME they were recording new material at Tom Rowlands from The Chemical Brothers' house in Lewes, in the south of the UK, and expect to finish nine new songs by Christmas.

Meanwhile at the festival, Alt-J ran through a tight hour-long set based around their Mercury award winning eponymous debut, while Detroit hip hop crew De La Soul played a greatest hit set including 'Me, Myself and I,' 'A Roller Skating Jam Named 'Saturdays'' and 'The Magic Number'.?

Now in its fourth year, Clockenflap is the first music festival to take place in Hong Kong and is credited for the pioneering role it has played in nurturing the Chinese indie and alternative music scenes. As well as bringing international artists to Chinese audiences, it featured appearances from Asian indie artists Jun Kung and Killersoap.
