Klaxons' James Righton married actress Keira Knightley yesterday (May 4).

The multi-instrumentalist tied the knot with the Pirates Of The Caribbean actress at a ceremony in Mazan near Maseille in the south of France in front of a small gathering of friends and family.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple, who got engaged in May 2012 after meeting through mutual pal Alexa Chung, exchanged vows at a church in the small French village before heading to Knightley's £3million family vineyard for the reception. Guests reportedly included actress Sienna Miller and Righton's Klaxons bandmates.

An onlooker said: "It was a very moving ceremony. Keira looked extremely moved by the whole thing - there were certainly tears of happiness. It was sunny day without a cloud in the sky. There were cheers of 'Well done, Keira' when she came out, but there were so few people present so they didn't make much noise. It was amusing to see them being driven away in a battered old Renault Clio - it certainly looked as though it had seen better days."

Klaxons are part of the line-up for this month's The Great Escape festival in Brighton. The band will be performing in the coastal city between May 16 and 18 alongside Bastille, Parquet Courts, Wolf Alice, Swim Deep, The Strypes, Chvrches, AlunaGeorge and DIIV among others.
