YOKEL SERVICE PROVIDER : HERSH FOLK ALBUM ON THE 'NET

[a]Kristin Hersh[/a]'s new album is to be released through the Internet....

Kristin Hersh is to release a new album this month - and it will be available only through the Internet and by mail order.

'Murder, Misery And Then Goodnight' is a collection of Appalachian folk songs, taught to the former Throwing Muses singer by her father. They were recorded in six days after the sessions for her last album, 'Strange Angels'.

The tracklisting of the album is: 'Down In The Willow Garden', 'I Will Never Marry', 'Sweet Roseanne', 'Poor Ellen Smith', 'Pretty Polly', 'Little Birdy', 'Momma's Gonna Buy', 'Fly Around My Blue Eyed Girl', 'Banks Of The Ohio', 'Three Nights Drunk', 'What Will We Do With The Baby-O' and 'Whole Heap Of Little Horses'.

The album can be ordered through the 4AD website on http;//www.4ad.com or by mail order at 4AD Mail Order, Po Box 3813, London SW18 1AA, and costs '8 plus 70p postage and packing. This release will not be available in record stores.
