KRS-One's son found dead in apparent suicide

He died from a gunshot wound to the head

KRS-One's son was found dead in his apartment in Atlanta, Georgia in what was an apparent suicide.

Fulton County medical examiners said that Randy Hubbard Parker, 23, died of a gunshot wound to the head and have officially classified his death as a suicide, reports the Associated Press.

The rapper's son has been fighting a continuous battle with depression, said his mother, Simone G. Parker, in a statement issued yesterday (July 10).

Parker was a graphic designer and fashion entrepreneur. A private memorial service will be held on July 18, which would have been his 24th birthday.

Another memorial service is scheduled for August in New York, where he was born.
