Plus [a]Kula Shaker[/a] to headline dangerous sports fest...
CREAMFIELDS '99, scheduled to take place at Old Liverpool Airfield on August 28, has been awarded its licence.
The dance festival, organised by Liverpool superclub Cream, will be headlined by Pet Shop Boys with six arenas hosted by Radio 1, Paul Oakenfold and The Gold Tour, Cream, Big Beat Boutique, Bugged Out! and Metalheadz.
Sugarhill Gang will headline the Big Beat Boutique while Basement Jaxx top the Bugged Out! bill. Goldie and Grooverider headline the Metalheadz tent.
Cream will host a tent at this year's Belgium Pukkelpop Festival in Kiewit-Hasselt on August 27, headlined by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sebadoh.
Meanwhile, Kula Shaker, Republica, Dodgy and Goldie play this year's XS99 Music And Extreme Sports Festival at Donington Park, Derby, from July 30 to August 1. The festival will include jet-biking, quad-racking and mountain-biking.
Elsewhere, 3 Colours Red, Monaco and Puressence headline the free Waters Edge Festival at Manchester's Castlefield arena from July 23-25.
