Kylie sends message of support to cancer sufferers
Sister Danni passes on statement at charity ball
Kylie Minogue gave a public message of support to cancer sufferers as her treatment continues.
The pop favourite sent the statement, read by her sister Danni, at the Cancer Research UK Ball at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Friday night (October 7).
Kylie was advised by doctors not to attend the ball herself, as she undergoes treatment for breast cancer.
According to the BBC, Danni read out her sister’s words: “I am currently a cancer patient. I aim to be a cancer survivor. This is only possible with the incredible work done by so many within the field: doctors, specialists, scientists and volunteers.
“I send my solidarity to those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer and my thanks to those who are helping in each and every way.”
Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, and had a tumour removed a week later. She has since received chemotherapy.
