Kylie talks for first time about illness

Kylie Minogue has spoken for the first time about the breast cancer shock that caused her to cancel her Glastonbury performance.

The Australian star told Sky One that her family “all fell to pieces” when they heard the diagnosis.

However, when she informed her parents she wanted to continue the tour, they urged her to rethink, leading to the multiple cancellations.

Kylie is currently working on new songs whilst preparing for the Showgirl Homecoming tour, her first since her diagnosis and treatment for cancer in 2005.

She returned to live performance with a brief appearance at G-A-Y in London in June with her sister Dannii Minogue.
