Kylie Minogue plays comeback gig
12,000 fans celebrate New Years Eve with singer
Kylie Minogue played a comeback gig last night (December 31).
12,000 British fans saw the New Year in with Minogue as she launched the British leg of the Showgirl Homecoming tour at Wembley Arena in London.
"I am surprised to spend New Year's Eve with you," the singer admitted to the audience, who gave her a standing ovation before she began playing opener 'Better The Devil You Know'.
Tickets for the show sold out within an hour when they went on sale on December 14.
A dancefloor with capacity for 3,500 people was specially built at the London arena, allowing revellers to continue celebrating until
0100 GMT.
Minogue returns to Wembley on January 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9. All dates have sold out.
