Kylie announces first-ever North American tour

Six-city stint kicks off on September 30 in Oakland, CA

Kylie Minogue has announced her first-ever tour of the US and Canada, kicking off on September 30 in Oakland, CA.

The tour is a limited six-city run, which will see her perform at the legendary Hollywood Bowl on October 4. Her New York City show will take place at Hammerstein Ballroom.

Tickets will go on sale on the weekend of May 15, however early access to tickets in the US will be available to American Express cardmembers beginning this Thursday (May 7) through Ticketmaster .

Meanwhile, Kylie is preparing to begin work on her 11th studio album.

The dates are:

Las Vegas, NV The Pearl (Palms Hotel & Casino) (October 3)
Los Angeles, CA Hollywood Bowl (4)
Chicago, IL The Congress Theater (7)
Toronto, ON Air Canada Centre (9)

tour? maybe in britain, shows in 6 cities constitute a "tour". but in america and canada, shows in six cities constitute nothing more than a "series of shows".
