La Roux's Elly Jackson has confirmed that Dr. Dre has sampled one of the band's tracks on his new album 'Detox'.
The hip-hop legend's apparently-final album is one of the most hotly-anticipated of the year, and the UK electro duo’s music has already been rumoured to feature on it in some form.
Now singer Jackson has revealed that the Skream remix of the hit 'In For The Kill' is sampled on the record.
She told BBC Radio 1: "He got really excited about the track which is obviously really complimentary. He did something with it and then sent it to us and said can he use or for his record and we said 'yes'."
She added: "[He’s used] mainly the vocal and then he put his own beats on it. It's supposed to be on the next record."
Dre apparently heard the track when it was used on an episode of Entourage.
Jackson continued: "Apparently he and The Game were sitting watching Entourage together. My manager always jokes that they were eating ice cream, under blankets and having a girls' night in."
