La Roux's Elly Jackson has revealed plans to write songs for other artists – in secret.

Having stormed the charts with number two hit 'In For The Kill', the singer has attracted the attention of other artists keen to utilise her songwriting skills.

"We've (Jackson and band partner Ben Langmaid) been asked to do some writing for other people," she told NME.COM, "but I'm not saying who yet!"

Jackson was keen not to overshadow the La Roux project. "I'll probably do it under another name," she said. "If I write something that's really good I'm just gonna do it myself. I'm not gonna give it to someone else, am I?

Jackson added that she is already planning her own second album. "I'd definitely like to get some thin, phased-out guitars like Heaven 17 had," she said.

La Roux's eponymous debut album is released on June 29.
