Lady Gaga scores UK chart double

Lady GaGa has scored a rare chart double this week (April 5) as her debut album 'The Fame' claims the number one spot in the albums chart alongside her number one single, 'Poker Face'.

She is the first new artist to achieve the chart double since Duffy whose single 'Mercy' and album 'Rockferry' were simultaneously number one in March last year.

Four months ago, her debut release, 'Just Dance', was number one in both the UK and the US. It remains the UK's biggest selling single of the year so far with sales of more than 550,000, reports the Official Charts Company.

There is little other movement on the top 10 singles.

On the album chart, Kings Of Leon remain at number two with 'Only By The Night'. Flo Rida is the only new entry on the top 10 albums with 'Roots (Route Of Overcoming The Struggle)'.
