Lady Gaga scores first Number One single of 2010

Singer's 'Poker Face' is also crowned top-selling single of 2009

Lady Gaga has scored the first UK singles chart Number One of the decade tonight (January 3).

'Bad Romance' took the top spot for the second time in recent weeks, after first hitting the summit on December 13.

Last week's (December 27) chart-topper Joe McElderry fell to number two with 'The Climb', while the X Factor winner's Christmas number one conquerors Rage Against The Machine moved down to number 40 with 'Killing In The Name'.

Meanwhile, in the albums chart Paolo Nutini's 'Sunny Side Up' jumped 14 places to take the Number One spot, while Florence And The Machine and Muse both climbed back into the top ten with 'Lungs' and 'The Resistance at number six and number eight respectively.

Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face' has also been crowned the best-selling single of 2009 by the Official Charts Company, with Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle's 'I Dreamed A Dream' coming out on top in the albums stakes.

This week's top ten UK singles are:

8. Rihanna – 'Russian Routlette'
9. Robbie Williams – 'You Know Me'
10. Chipmunk Ft Talay Riley – 'Look For Me'


This week's top ten UK albums are:

2. Lady Gaga – 'The Fame'
3. Susan Boyle – 'I Dreamed A Dream'
4. Michael Buble - 'Crazy Love'
