Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds To Mars, Bruno Mars win big at MTV EMAs

Katy Perry, Adele, Linkin Park and Eminem also take home awards

Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds To Mars and Bruno Mars were the big winners at the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) in Belfast last night (November 6).

Gaga won four awards in total, taking home the Best Song and Best Video prizes for her single 'Born This Way' as well as the awards for Best Female Act and Best Fans.

30 Seconds To Mars won two awards, picking the gong for Best Alternative Act and for the best performance on MTV World Stage. Bruno Mars also won two awards, with the singer awarded Best New Act and Best Push.

Other winners were Katy Perry, who was named Best Live Act, Justin Bieber, who was named Best Pop Act, Linkin Park, who were named Best Rock Act, Eminem, who was named Best Hip-Hop Act, BIGBANG, who were named Best Worldwide Act and Adele, who landed the gong for Best UK and Ireland Act.

Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber Coldplay, Jason Derulo , Jessie J, David Guetta and LMFAO all performed as part of the ceremony, as did Queen, who were given the Global Icon award and celebrated by performing 'We Are The Champions' with guest singer Adam Lambert.

Red Hot Chili Peppers played a show at the nearby Ulster Hall as part of the ceremony, as did Snow Patrol, who played off-site at the City Hall.
