Lady Gaga has unveiled a teaser trailer to her cameo appearance in The Simpsons, which you watch below.

The pop star tweeted the clip to her little monsters this week, which showed her in some of her trademark outfits including her flame-ejecting bra and meat dress. The clip also shows baby Maggie Simpson dressed up in heels and sunglasses to mimic Gaga.

In the episode, Gaga comes to town on a train, complete with 18 separate outfits, to cheer up a depressed Lisa.

The singer made an unofficial cameo appearance on Family Guy last year, but this will be the first time she gives her voice to a cartoon.

Speaking of her upcoming cameo last year she said: " I would say this is one of the coolest things I've ever done. My dad's probably going to do 80 backflips when the episode comes out."

The Simpsons, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, has featured the likes of the Ramones, The White Stripes, Sonic Youth and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. You can check out NME's gallery of the 15 Classic Band Cameos in The Simpsons for more.

Lady Gaga is currently on tour in southeast Asia. The 'Born This Way Ball' comes to the UK later this year, beginning with two dates at London's Twickenham Stadium (September 8-9).
