Lady Gaga also caused a viral sensation last night (September 11) by revealing that she has shaved off most of the hair from the back of her head. You can see her new look in the picture below.

Taking to Twitter to explain why, the singer revealed that she had done it in tribute to the mother of photographer Terry Richardson, a close friend of hers. She wrote: "I did it for you Terry. I'm sorry about your mommy. She has princess die, but were all princess high."

The singer has also denied reports that she has registered three new songtitles, which had been reported as part of the tracklisting for her new album 'ARTPOP'.

It had been thought that tracks titled 'Candy Art', 'Cold Hearted Bitch' and 'CRWTH' had been registered with Broadcast Music Inc, which collects royalties for artists, but Gaga denied this, tweeting that the titles were "not real".

Lady Gaga is set to make a public appearance at iconic London department store Harrods on October 7, announced last month that she will make her acting debut in a new Robert Rodriguez movie called Machete Kills.

She will play a character called La Chameleon in the film, which is a sequel to Rodriguez's 2010 action exploitation movie Machete.
