More details have emerged in Lady Gaga's legal deposition with the singer also tweeting that the "assistant" who is suing her is, in fact, a close friend of hers that she has known for many years.

As reported over the weekend, Gaga is facing legal action from her former assistant, Jennifer O'Neil, who claims that she is owed payment for 7,168 hours of overtime. O'Neil filed an action demanding $380,000 (£243,000) and claimed that she was responsible for looking after the singer's hectic schedule.

O'Neil alleged that Gaga expected her to be at her service from the "earliest waking hour" and wanted her duties to extend to "stadiums, private jets, fine hotel suites, yachts, ferries, trains and tour buses". O'Neil alleges that the schedule meant that she was unable to take breaks "or even at times sleep".

Since those details were published it has also been claimed that Gaga had "forced" O'Neil to sleep with her in her bed as she did not like sleeping alone. According to The Sun, O'Neil told the deposition how: "Unlike anybody else on that tour, I did not have my own hotel room. I was not asked if I wanted my own hotel room. I had no privacy."

On Saturday (February 2) Lady Gaga spoke out about the details from the deposition and informed her fans that the "assistant" was, in fact, a close friend of hers she had hired to help her and that they had known each other since they were 19.

In her official statement, Gaga referred to herself as "The Queen of the Universe" and added: "[O'Neil is a ] fucking hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn't earn."
