Lady Gaga has made a NSFW Kickstarter video in conjunction with artist Marina Abramovic in which the singer hugs a block of ice while completely naked.

The video, which you can see below, was filmed in upstate New York and sees Gaga practising The Abramovic Method. The Abramovic Method is designed to heighten participants' awareness of their physical and mental experience in the present moment. The method helps participants to develop skills for observing long durational performances through a series of exercises, some of which are performed by Gaga in the video. The video is part of a Kickstarter campaign designed to raise funds for a building which will act as an "interdisciplinary performance and education centre".

Marina Abramovic is enjoying something of a pop culture boom in 2013, having also appeared in the video for Jay Z's 'Picasso Baby' and getting a name-check from Frank Ocean in the lyrics to a remix he recently posted online. The New York-based artist began her career in the early 1970s and has been active for over three decades, building a reputation as the "grandmother of performance art".

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga urged her fans to avoid listening to a new song of hers which leaked online earlier this week. The track, titled 'Aura', is apparently only an unfinished demo and when asked about it by a user on her Little Monsters website, the singer replied: "Please take these [links] down as much as possible."

Last month, Lady Gaga announced the release date of her 'ARTPOP' app and revealed a few details about what it contains. Gaga's new album will be released through the app on November 11 and the app will be available on iTunes and GooglePlay.

Gaga also shared the title and artwork for lead single 'Applause', revealing that she chose the artwork, which features a close-up of her face smeared in paint, to show a more vulnerable side that she doesn't often share with the public.
