Lady Gaga has reportedly filmed a Christmas TV special alongside The Muppets in Los Angeles.

A report by E! Online claims that the pop star, who releases new album 'ARTPOP' in November, shot the holiday special for transmission later this year. Details about the special are being kept secret for now but, if true, would mark the latest chapter in Gaga's history with The Muppets. In 2010 Jim Henson's Creature Shop aided the production of The Monster Ball tour, while Kermit the Frog was her date to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lady Gaga has a history of making holiday specials with ABC after making and directing A Very Gaga Thanksgiving in 2011. That special saw her joined by guests including Katie Couric, Art Smith and Tony Bennett.

'ARTPOP' is released on November 11 and will include the single 'Applause' as well as songs featuring R. Kelly ('Do What U Want') and rappers TI Twista and Too $short ('Jewels N' Drugs'). Other song titles on the album include 'Sexxx Dreams', 'Donatella', 'Swine' and 'Fashion!'. Gaga will hold an invite-only album playback on October 24 at Berlin club Berghain, famous for its hedonistic parties and strict door policy.

The 'ARTPOP' tracklisting is:

'Aura'
'Venus'
'GUY (Girl Under You)'
'Sexxx Dreams'
'Jewels N’ Drugs' (feat. TI, Too Short, and Twista)
'Manicure'
'Do What U Want' (feat. R Kelly)
'Artpop'
'Swine'
'Donatella'
'Fashion!'
'Mary Jane Holland'
'Dope (Formerly I Wanna Be With You)'
'Gypsy'
'Applause'

Lady Gaga unveiled seven new songs from 'ARTPOP' at her London comeback gig on September 1. The singer opened this year's iTunes Festival with a typically theatrical performance which featured a costume or wig change for every song and several lengthy explanations about the inspiration for her new material.
