Lady Gaga has rubbished reports that her latest album "ARTPOP' lost her record label millions, causing it to make staff redundant.

As Billboard report, an Examiner article (which is no longer available online), claimed that label Interscope lost $25 million (£15 million) from the singer's third album 'ARTPOP', causing it to make staff redundant.

The article claimed that even though the album sold 258,000 copies in its first week of sales in the US, this was below what the label was hoping for compared to her previous releases.

Writing on her social networking site Little Monsters, the singer said there was "no truth to many of your comments, including the 25 million dollars deficit".

She added: "I have lost love [sic] ones to the greed of money…It is not interscope. They in fact love me very much and will see 'ARTPOP' to the end."

At the end of last year, Lady Gaga announced plans to tour 'ARTPOP' in North America in spring and summer this year (2014). The LP, which was released on November 6, was her third release to chart at Number One on the Official UK Albums Chart.
